Objects resulting from a dialogue between
materials and production processes.
In the context of the Fuorisalone 2024, Pierre Salaün & Paul Gödecken have invited seven designers to join them as part of a collective exhibition, all of whom are alumni of the Design Academy Eindhoven.
The group of creatives will present their latest projects collectively, providing each artist with an opportunity to showcase their individual practice. The exhibition will consist of artists and designers hailing from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared dedication to product design. Through their varied practices, they challenge different mediums, subjects and techniques while giving form to their objects. Some adopt a pragmatic and systematic approach, while others prioritize beauty and poetic considerations in their ideation processes.
The aim is to convene a symposium of young creatives with diverse projects, highlighting the convergence of their methods and work processes despite the diversity — and even opposition— in approaches to product design. Our objective is to broaden the discourse to encompass topics that intersect across various conceptual frameworks. Over the planned 7-day duration of the project, we will organize the exhibition, unveil our upcoming products, deliver presentations, host events, and engage in discussions with Salone’s audience. Through this program, we aspire to contribute to the advancement of the design field via a distinctive initiative driven by passion. The selected designers will present a broad spectrum of approaches to contemporary product design, with their work serving as a representation of the philosophy instilled at the Design Academy Eindhoven.
